The UK Government has replaced the OFSI Consolidated List of Asset Freeze Targets with the UK Sanctions List (UKSL) as the UK's single official sanctions list. From 28 January 2026, the Consolidated List is no longer updated and remains available only as a historical archive.
The responsibility for publishing and maintaining the sanctions list has also shifted. Previously, the list was managed by the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) within HM Treasury and covered only financial sanctions (asset freeze targets). It is now maintained by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), with the UK Sanctions List covering all UK sanctions designations, including financial, trade, immigration and transport sanctions.
OFSI continues to administer and enforce UK financial sanctions, including licensing and compliance, but the FCDO is now responsible for publishing the UK's official sanctions list. The change was made to simplify sanctions screening by providing a single, comprehensive source for all UK sanctions designations.
As a result of these changes, we have introduced a new dataset in DoordaBiz called risk_uk_sanction. This dataset reflects the new UK Sanctions List and replaces the previous risk_sanction dataset, which is scheduled to be delisted. Users should update any existing queries or integrations to reference risk_uk_sanction going forward.
